§ Featured Work / Case 03 · D2C e-commerce

Pet wellness brand,
an editorial storefront.

A complete online store for a premium, founder-led fresh pet-food brand: editorial product pages, a booking flow, content the founder runs herself, and a full cart-to-checkout. Built to sell beautifully and cost almost nothing to run.

The client & the job

A founder is the brand. The store had to feel like her.

A premium, direct-to-consumer fresh pet-food brand, founder-led, photography-heavy, positioned well above supermarket kibble. The founder's expertise and warmth are the product, so the site couldn't look like a generic template store. It had to read like an editorial magazine that happens to sell food.

The engagement was the whole thing, end to end: design and build the live storefront, wire real payments and a proper cart, set up a CMS the founder edits without a developer, and keep the running cost near zero so a small brand can actually afford it.

Scope

  • Full storefront, 15 pages
  • Editorial product & nutrition pages
  • Cart, checkout, payments, order confirmation
  • Consultation booking flow
  • Founder-editable CMS + blog

The build · live storefront

Editorial on the outside, a real shop underneath.

A recreation of the storefront in its own design language, warm paper, serif headlines, terracotta accents. Watch it add to cart.

What made it work

Three calls that earned their keep.

01

It costs almost nothing to run.

The whole store, content, orders, emails, lives on free tiers. A caching layer cut behind-the-scenes data calls by 99.7%, so the founder edits products freely and only ever pays when something sells.

02

The founder is on every page.

Her voice, her credentials, and a "book a consult" flow reachable from anywhere. The site sells the way she does, by being the trusted expert, not by shouting discounts.

03

Fresh food ships like fresh food.

Checkout understands delivery zones and cold-chain slots, not a generic cart. The buyer sees honest delivery windows before they pay, so the first order actually arrives right.

What shipped

Handed over, running on its own.

A live storefront
